Project Description
The 20,630 square foot Performing Arts facility is one of the newest additions to Hernando High School. The Performing Arts building can seat 507 patrons and provide handicapped seating for six. The performance stage was built with a wood flooring chorus room and includes a men’s and women’s dressing area located behind the stage. JBHM designed a full stage rigging system with curtains and stage drops for the facility. A full stage lighting system above the stage and catwalk was also included in the design. To ensure the best sound quality, acoustical clouds and panels were installed. The space also includes a ticket booth, a front lobby and sound room.
