Pascagoula High School Performing Arts Center

The Pascagoula High School Performing Arts Center was completed in February 2020 for the Pascagoula-Gautier School District. The $14.7 Million facility is one of the most high-tech performing arts centers on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. The two-story, 43,212 SF center has the ability to be operated entirely by an iPad and features a full movie theater with a projection system and surround sound and an expandable stage with space for a 160-piece band. The center is home to a beautifully designed auditorium with fixed audience seating. It has 771 seats, a disappearing orchestra pit, acoustical shell towers, theatrical rigging and lighting, and state of the art audio-visual equipment. The facility includes ticket booths, a concession stand, catering room, set building workshop, technical and recording rooms, green room, and a backstage area with dressing rooms and showers. Also included are 3 classroom spaces that accommodate up to 75 people for training and meetings with retractable walls to provide for smaller meetings. Huge black and white wall-size murals adorn both the upstairs and downstairs lobby areas giving visitors a glimpse of vintage Pascagoula scenes. The Performing Arts Center hosts events such as dance recitals, drama programs, forensic team debates, and local artist performances.
